 RA 8353 (The Anti-Rape Law of 1997)

This act is an expanding the rights of womens when it comes to problems like rape and reclassifying the crime againts persons. The law considers the any persons who are mistreated. Whether a prostitute person, non-virgin person  or one who has an active sex-lifestyle. A lot of women who are victimized by rape. Anyone who had knowledge of the crime may be file a case on behalf of the victim. Anyone can be a rape victim, but the incidence of rape is more rampant in women and girls. This law is created because a lot of women who are suffering in rape and this kind of problems is commiting suidice and doing a lot of things. It can cause depression or anxiety because they don’t want to have a problem like this. They think that they are so dirty whenever a person stare at them. They feel like they’re a trash so sometimes suicide is one of their solution. Women shouldn’t be treated like this. RA 8353 recognizes marital rape, wherein a spouse forces the other to engage in sexual intercourse without consent. This provision challenges the traditional notion of absolute marital consent. This law represents a significant step forward in advancing the rights of women, children, and other vulnerable groups in the Philippines.

RA 11648 (an act amending RA 8353 or The Anti-Rape Law of 1997)

This law seeks to provide greater protection to children against sexual abuse and exploitation by raising the age of sexual consent to align with global standards. By criminalizing sexual acts with minors under 16 years of age, it closes loopholes that allowed offenders to avoid accountability under outdated provisions. This law created to take actions and protect those childrens who are not able to defend themselves. An Law who’s applicable in all womens. Children, Old persons. They should be protected with this law because this is the law that created for all women and to give love and protect them because womens is one of the most vulnerable thing in the world.
